Join us Thursday July 7th through Sunday July 10th for the Deerwood Sesquitennial (150th) Celebration! 

Planning is still in the works. However here's the basic tentative schedule (subject to change):

Thursday July 7th: 

4:00 pm:  Pizza Feed at the Deerwood Legion.

7:00 pm: Opening Program at the Auditorium with time capsule ceremony.

Friday July 8th: 

All day self guided tours of historic sites.

10-4 Open House at the Auditorium.

10-4 Open House at the Soo Line Museum in Crosby behind the old Super One.

4 pm: Jambalaya Feed at The Deerstand.

6 pm: Outdoor Dance at The Deerstand.

Saturday July 9th:

10 am: Parade on Forest Rd in Deerwood.  (To be a part of the parade please contact Deerwood Police Chief Mark Taylor at 218-330-0973 or email

11-4: Family Activities in the area of the Auditorium & Splash Pad Park (games, street entertainers, food vendors, farmers market).

Displays & Exhibits in the Auditorium.

Dusk: Fireworks from Serpent Lake-visible all over town.

Sunday July 10th

Morning: Church Services.

10-Noon: Breakfast at the Deerwood Legion.

The planning committee meets at 4:30 pm every fourth Wednesday at the Deerwood Auditorium. Everyone is welcome to come, share ideas, and help with the planning and/or organizing of events.
