** Cancelled ** Maple Syrup Experience
Friday, April 3, 2020 7:30 PM - Sunday, April 5, 2020 10:00 AM (CDT)
Description
** Cancelled **Tap it. Cook it. Eat it. Ruttger’s is hosting the ultimate Maple Syrup Experience on Saturday, April 4, in partnership with Clayhill Farm of Brainerd. Learn the art of making maple syrup first-hand from local experts. The festivities start with a hearty breakfast, followed by Maple 101 classes instructed by Harry and Judy Worm from Clayhill Farm. There will be a class designed for adults and one for children. Armed with new knowledge, you’ll head outside to tap the sugar maple trees at Ruttger’s and collect the sap. After a break for lunch, you'll head to the "sugar shack" at Clayhill Farms to process it into syrup. Of course, you get to taste it. “Making maple syrup is a delicious way to get outside and have some fun,” Ruttger’s President Chris Ruttger said. “The best part is getting to taste the fresh, warm syrup.” For more information or to sign up, go to ruttgers.com/maple.
